When do I need to take a Backup of Server Configuration?
When running applications on a production system, regular backup of the Server configuration is necessary. This ensures that the Server instance and the applications running on the Server are secure and reliable. Server configuration backups are required in cases when:
- Configuration files are corrupted inadvertantly or deliberately, or through file system corruption at the OS level
- There is some kind of Hardware failure
- There are chances of losing data due to some kind of Human error
