Where and how do I configure each component?


Following is a list of Pramati Server components that are installed and can be configured.

Pramati Server Administration Service Server machine Automatically installed as part of Server installation (PServerXX.exe or .jar) Needs one-time setup of the service/daemon using install_services.bat (on unix, prs) scripts under the /services directory.
Pramati Server Standalone node Server machine Install PServerXX.exe (or .jar) Configured using the Console as a StandAlone node. In a single Pramati Server installation, multiple instances can be configured, each identified by a unique name and port.
Pramati Server Cluster Server or Cluster node machine Install PServerXX.exe (or .jar) Configured using the Console as a Cluster of Nodes. In a single Pramati Server installation, multiple Pramati Server Clusters can be configured.
Pramati Server Cluster EJB node Server or Cluster node machine Install PServerXX.exe (or .jar) Configured using the Console as a Cluster EJB node.
Pramati Server Cluster Web node Server or Cluster node machine Install PServerXX.exe (or .jar) Configured using Pramati Server Console as a cluster node. In a single Pramati Server installation multiple nodes can be configured with a unique name and can be started along with the server at the same time.
Pramati Server Cluster BOTH node Server or Cluster node machine Install PServerXX.exe (or .jar) Configured using the Console as a Cluster BOTH node. From a single Pramati Server installation, multiple nodes can be configured, having unique names and can be started synchronously with the Server.
Java Clients Client workstations No separate installation From the installation on the Server machine, copy the /lib directory to the client machine. Modify jndi.props to look up objects on the Server.
Pramati embedded Message Server Server machine Installs with every Server (PServerXX.exe or .jar) The embedded Message Server starts by default.
Pramati Server Standalone JMS node (or Pramati Message Server) Server machine Installs with every Server (PServerXX.exe or .jar) Can be started using <install_dir>\bin\runjms.bat\
Pramati High Availability Message Server Server machine Installs with every Server (PServerXX.exe or .jar) Configured from the Admin service or NodeCreator.
Third party integration with Apache/IIS using WebGate Server machine Plug-in available along with Server installation. Configured using the plug-in and editing configuration files in the Server install directory. Installation instructions provided in the Administration guide. Separate instructions are specified for both Apache and IIS in respective chapters.
Web Enabling Oracle Forms Applications Server machine - Requires configurations in the server
